f365: Day 312

After owning my trusty mountain bike for 15 years, I decided to treat myself to a new road bike. I commute by bike 2-3 times / week. While my mountain bike is designed for off road traversing, on the road, the weight and general design mean I am being passed by elderly ladies!

Anyway, the road bike is terrific - very light and fast. I picked up a few accessories for it today and my commute is much more enjoyable.

f365: Day 311

Snakes alive! Or rather, Jellyfish alive (admittedly it does not have the same ring to it)!

Breakfast Creek was awash with jellyfish today. They were all drifting out towards the Brisbane River. My shot today is of a lone jellyfish, minding its own business with Newstead Park in the background.

f365: Day 310

A quick update for today as worked late and am tired...

Today's photo is of the baby changing table (again), but with some letters above it that Jenn decorated.

f365: Day 309

Although I missed plenty of interesting photo opportunities today (we had the afternoon off as we were watching the Melbourne Cup plus post races drinks at the Breakfast Creek Hotel), I also want to show off Jenn's hard work in painting the change table she snapped up on an EBay auction recently.

Here is a shot of it, with our two young hooligans in the frame, as well as a partial shot of the newly decorated room.

f365: Day 308

One of our partners, Visa, invited us to a movie screening of "Thor: The Dark World" at the Myer Centre in Brisbane tonight.

It was an enjoyable night out - the free passes came with drinks and large buckets of popcorn (plus the movie was excellent). Jenn and I attended, but I snapped this shot of the Myer Centre complex just before the movie.

f365: Day 307

Another busy weekend renovating although we did have some fun time today (it was hot, around 33C, so we went down to the pools at Red Hill for a swim plus had a good early morning catch up with Nik and Cassie).

The baby's room is all done - a weekend spent prepping, painting etc. We also assembled his IKEA cot - pictured in today's shot along with the painted walls.

f365: Day 306

I've tried one of these "painting with light" shots earlier in the year. The weekends usually mean I have more capacity to try a creative shot.

Currently our frangipani tree is flowering and sections of our lawn are covered in flowers. Today's shot is a slow time exposure of the tree. I also ran around with my torch to create light trails. Plus I did a couple of poses with my face illuminated by the torch (this makes me look a bit like a ghost!).

Anyway, here is today's shot. See if you can spot my face......
