f365: Day 326

Xmas is coming - well its presence has been advertised for awhile now, especially across the retail sector.

Had to pop into the city today at lunchtime - as well as tucking into some sushi (we have poor food options out at Bowen Hills so enjoyed the change), also took this shot of one of the many thousands of Xmas decorations. Added a cross process filter to saturate the reds and greens.

f365: Day 325

It was the first day of the Ashes today (cricket for the uninformed - when Australia play England) and the first test is here in Brisbane!

I would have loved to have been at the game, but sadly had to work...

I noticed this 'explosion' of colour next to the Breakfast Creek while out for a walk. While I am no botanist, it looked pretty impressive so it made today's shot.

Rounded off the evening with a couple of beers with an old workmate so a good day all around (with exception of not being able to be at the cricket although did I already mention that?).

f365: Day 324

Ok, starting to get organised now. My bag is (mostly) packed for the hospital. Jenn is now officially at "full term" even though she is still 2 weeks away from the 40 week mark.

Although today's photo will never win any prizes, it symbolises the closeness to the new arrival and the need to finalise all the organisation!

f365: Day 323

Jenn has made this excellent "baby mobile" which now hangs from our baby's bedroom. So whilst he is having his nappy changed, hopefully his attention is distracted with the mobile.

I should also add, Jenn is attempting to indoctrinate him with all things space related, although I could think of far worse things! :-)

f365: Day 322

Another storm passed over us late this afternoon. No matter how many you see, they all look different. The build up is always the most interesting - well defined cloud structures coupled with an angry, dark look usually mean you are minutes away from a severe rainstorm.

Today's one had some decent forked lightening thrown in - unfortunately with my Android I could not capture any strikes, but got this one just prior to the deluge.

f365: Day 321

Bruce and Jenn have had the photographic treatment yesterday, but poor Cookie has been left out. I shot a few more shots of Jenn today but also a few of Cookie.

Here are two of her - one a bit unflattering which has been partially censored (she has no shame), the other has had an HDR effect applied to it.

f365: Day 320

Something very strange happened today - it was a Saturday and we didn't make our weekly pilgrimage to Bunnings. Shock horror!

Rather we had a relaxing day at home. We did do a maternity shoot inside (the weather was not too flash for outdoor shots). The dogs were involved as well, but here are a selection from the shoot.
