Lake Moogerah - Jun17

I made another trip out to Lake Moogerah (with a work colleague) as it is the best time of the year to shoot the heavens.

Fortunately the high cloud that was threatening the shoot stayed clear and we were presented with near perfect conditions.

The location is brilliant and we found a couple of new spots we hadn't tried before.

Macro Photography in Front Garden

I'm testing out some options for a RAW image processor as Photoshop's subscription model is too expensive in my opinion.

So I needed some RAW stock images so decided to do a quick macro shoot in our front garden. I don't use my 100mm macro lens enough, but the results are always pretty good.

Cookie laid there for awhile wondering what I was up to!

Beagle Day Out - BCQ Lure Coursing Event - Mar17

The Beagle Club of Queensland put on a terrific day for beagle owners today - it involved "lure coursing" which is basically beagles chasing a mechanically operated lure.

We decided to bring Cookie, Bruce (our honorary beagle) plus Bronson and Wicket along - the latter two who we are looking after for our friends Nik and Cassie.

There is a good action shot of Wicket in mid flight - his shot is the one after the collection of very cute beagle puppy photos!

I took a lot of shots and got some good mileage out of the 100-400mm Canon USB lens. Below are a selection of shots taken. Click on each image to enlarge - enjoy!
