Our friends Dan and Amanda invited us around (along with others) for a New Years Eve party at their apartment in Darling Point. They have a fantastic view of the harbour and luckily the weather was perfect. I have played around with firework photography in the past and to be honest, it can be a bit hit and miss. Below are a selection of shots - this year around AU$5m was spent and it was reputed to be the best ever.
All in all it was an enjoyable night and I even had a go on their Wii Rockband - loads of fun :-)
Before the 9pm fireworks - the sun sets over a balmy Sydney evening. The house in the foreground is owned by a Ms Nicole Kidman (although she and Keith now live in the States)!
