2014 Monthly Project: Jun-14 (A Dash of Colour in Winter)

Now that we are officially in winter, my theme for the month is black and white, but with a twist. I took these shots around our house (inside and outside) this weekend and looked for colours that 'popped' out.

I then applied black and white filters, but brought the dominant colour(s) back in. I am a big fan of the black and white medium - it is good at bringing out textures (sometimes the colours can be distracting) but equally like the idea of retaining at least one colour element. Enjoy the shots!

Trip to Singleton - Jun14

We were down in Singleton last week in NSW's Hunter Valley region stopping with Jenn's parents.

Jenn's Dad Arthur got to meet Jonathan for the first time last week. He was a popular lad and had a lot of attention lavished onto him!

Also visiting was my brother-in-law Chris and his fiance Jacinta. Jacquie and her husband Derek were also there so a big family occasion.

It was also Arthur's birthday so a double celebration! I've applied the odd Photoshop effect to some images (including playing with some new B&W effects I found online). Enjoy!
