Jonathan is almost at crawling stage and is interacting a lot with the world around him!
Everything has to be investigated and grabbed at! We did a short shoot in the nursery this afternoon (before his afternoon nap). Here are some of the shots (some I have altered e.g. cross processing and black & white).

2014 Monthly Project: Jul-14 (The World in Macro)
Earlier in the year I took some plant shots using my macro lens. It is one of my under utilised lenses and generally produces amazing results.
My theme for this month is to shoot random household & personal items up close using my macro lens. The depth of field (photographic term for the amount that is in focus) is tiny - millimetres in many cases. This means focussing has to be exact. I used a tripod, a cable release to trip the shutter and used mirror lock mode. All three minimise shaking - in the macro sense, even the tiniest vibration can create blurriness.
Anyway, enjoy the shots!
