Lake Moogerah - Oct16

I went out to Lake Moogerah for a third time last night and again took some shots from my workmate David (who has a high end Nikon and is a keen astro photographer like myself).

We ended up taking most of our shots from a campsite on the west side of the lake as this offered a better perspective of the Milky Way. There was a bit of light pollution there in the background, although in some cases this offered some foreground lighting for us. In most cases, we used LED torches to 'paint' elements of the foreground.

The latter shots were taken near where we parked our cars - in some regards it was better around here as minimal distracting elements and light.

The very last shot was a potential nebulae or galaxy that we spotted - unsure what it could be, but interesting nevertheless.

As always, click on each image to enlarge.
