Dawn Fraser Rock Pool - Feb11

Finally I have resumed my rock pool project of the beautiful rock pools scattered about the NSW coastline! What had stalled the project was the fact I gave away my basic graduated filter kit. I therefore had committed myself to buying the Cokin Z-Pro series graduated filter kit.

However they were next to impossible to get hold of. Global stock was non existent. I randomly checked at an online Sydney store a couple of weeks ago and - woo-hoo - they were in stock! I snapped up a set and am now resuming my project with much enthusiasm.

So....my first early morning trip involved photographing the Dawn Fraser Rock Pool which is located at Elkington Park in Balmain. The pool is one of the oldest pools in Sydney, built in 1880.

Cookie Chilling at Home - Feb12

It was about time for another photo shoot. Cookie is growing up so fast. She now weighs over 8kg - these shots were taken about 10 days ago and I am sure she has grown a fair bit since then!

Australian Open Tennis - Jan12

Went to the Australian Open Tennis in Melbourne for the first time. We attended the first Saturday's play (went with Mike, Tash and Chris, my brother-in-law).

It was as good as it looks on TV. The women's games were over too quickly and I got more shots of a men's doubles game than anything. Enjoy the shots!

Cookie's First Few Days - Nov11

If you do not know already, we have sad news. Scampi, our beloved French Bulldog, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 19th November 2011.

It has been a terrible year for us, plus I lost my sister in an accident back in June.

We picked up Cookie several days after losing Scampi. She has her own personality, is quite head strong, but is coming along fine with her training!

Anyway, enjoy her baby shots!

These are some of the last shots we took of Scampi, our dear little boy. They were taken down at Centennial Park in Sydney on a nice day. As usual, his cheeky mannerisms meant he took us for a walk, rather than the other way around!

More Scampi shots! I have been addicted to this IPhone app (Hipstamatic) for some time now which mimics various old style photos. All of these were taken with my IPhone. The first shot at home, some down at Coogee and some at a beach near the Spit Bridge here in Sydney.
